Add another account

Accounts are optional named profiles. The account you already have is the implicit default one and needs no flag; every additional one is named, and fully isolated — separate credentials, separate state, separate cache, separate mountpoint.

For an account called work:

wusel login --account work https://cloud.work.example
sudo wusel desktop install-provider --account work
systemctl --user enable --now wusel@work

That is: log in, register the sidebar entry, mount. The account appears at ~/Wusel-work.

Log out and back in so the new sidebar entry shows up.

Why sudo for the middle step

The file manager’s provider collector scans only system data directories — it never looks in your home — so the registration has to be written to one. The packages do this for the default account already; every named account needs it once.

Skipping it costs you the sidebar entry for that account and nothing else. The mount, the emblems and the notifications work regardless.

Managing them

wusel accounts # list them
wusel account remove work # delete a named profile

remove deletes that account’s credentials, state and cache. The Nextcloud server is untouched.

Two rules

Two accounts may not share or nest a mountpoint — Linux would over-mount and hide the first — so mount refuses to start where its target equals, contains, or sits inside another active mount.

Mounting the same server and user under two accounts is allowed but warned about: two read-write mounts of one account edit the same server files through two independent caches and write buffers, so they can conflict with each other exactly as two different machines would.
